Santa leaves one final letter for a very special child. Don't feel bad if tears fall as you read it. Santa's crying, too.
A Christmas story that will have you looking in the mirror at Christmas.... And remembering when your child or children were small. Or when you were.
The Christmas Mirror Santa Last Letter to a Wonderful Child (Audible Audio Edition) Will Bevis Gregory Kuper Books
This is a goodbye letter from Santa Claus to a little girl who supposedly no longer believes in him. However, I think the letter was somewhat premature because it began like this: "Word has gotten back to me that you are starting to doubt that I exist. That's Ok. It is as it should be. It is ok if you no longer believe in me".... Even Santa himself says the girl is just "STARTING to doubt that (he) exists". It isn't that she no longer believes: it is just that she is BEGINNING to have her suspicions. Perhaps she would have preferred to think about it a little longer - to weigh the pros and cons of the situation and THEN make her decision. But, NO! Santa took that away from her and said, "See ya' later. When you have kids of your own. In the meantime I have other kids to go see - (the ones who still believe in me) - so I'm outta here."HOWEVER, - (before everyone jumps down my throat and has a hissy fit) - that aside, I still think this was a sweet letter. Premature, yes. But sweet nonetheless. Let's face it. Santa is a guy. And guys tend to think they know what's happening and how to fix it when sometimes all they need to do is listen while we talk. But at least his heart was in the right place, and Santa DOES have a LOT of children looking to him. He is just so used to this point in time - the point when children stop believing - that as soon as he heard she was BEGINNING to reach that point he thought it was time to say goodbye.
Obviously, I wish he had waited - maybe until next year. But he didn't, and it is what it is. Sweet in that he cared enough to take the time to write to the child and acknowledge her feelings, and then to tell her that it was okay for her to feel that way. That he understood - even if it meant she no longer believed in HIM Because he still believed in HER, and (more importantly) SHE needed to believe in herself. In other words, Santa gave the girl some good advice on growing up. That's what a good friend would do.
But maybe he said goodbye when she really had NOT stopped believing. Maybe he said goodbye and stopped coming to see her when she was still waiting to see what he would bring her that year. THAT is a terrible thought!
HOPING Santa did not disappoint a little girl who was waiting for her gifts one more year I gave the story four stars. It would be much lower if I learned she had been disappointed and hurt. Santa, DON'T let the children down!

The Christmas Mirror Santa Last Letter to a Wonderful Child (Audible Audio Edition) Will Bevis Gregory Kuper Books Reviews
It was a fast but nice read. Good advice for growing children. I enjoyed it even though it took five minutes to read.
A letter to a child that has gone from believing, to being too mature for Santa. No real story, but a pleasant little read.
A very cute short Christmas story it was a swell Christmas story, try it the little ones may enjoy it.
What a truly lovely little story to tell a child one day when the believing is gone. And before it returns again through our own children's eyes. This is heartwarming.
AMAZON.COM has got the best books and short stories. The Christmas Mirror Santa's Last Letter To A Wonderful Child is full of emotion. I have never heard a story like this before. It makes you want to hear more. The Author, Will Bevis wrote an excellent short story here..... Definitely worth a read...
I at 54 years old and still believe. To not believe in the magic of Santa is to me like taking away a part of my heart, my childhood amazing memories leaning up to my bedroom window on Christmas Eve wishing Santa would fly past the moon so I could see him. No one can take the magic of Santa away from me.
This is the first time I ever read a story which made me feel sad for Santa Claus. Granted, there's no man in a red suit climbing through chimneys on Christmas eve but, even so, this little story made me believe he existed and had real feelings - as he realized a child he had come to love throughout the years no longer believed in him - how he would miss visiting the child.
The book was an emotional read, focusing entirely on how Santa felt at the upcoming change in routine. In spite of other children who would come along and believe in him, he couldn't wait for this child to grow and have children of his own, so Santa could come to his house once again.
I really enjoyed this. Will Bevis has created something I would never have imagined.
